Water and electricity supply for the Docklands

The recommendation of the European Communities Commission of 8th May of 2006 (2006/339/CE) related to the use electricity in the Docks by the vessels anchored in Docks within the Community, encourage the Members of the EU to reconsider the installation of systems of supply of high power electricity, with the intention of reducing the environmental impact.

PRODIMAR for this purpose has designed an electronic system or pre-payment for the supply of water and high power electricity to ships. The system permits the user, via pre-payment to the Port Authorities of the respective Country, to receive a supply of water and electric energy in different places within the Docks where the ship is anchored. The external casing of such terminals can be designed in stainless steel AISI-316 or in plastic material.

The system is made out of:

• Electronic support of transaction.
• Terminal for the control of the supplying outlets.
• Software for the effect of controls and transactions.
