PRISM-S3 is an electricity and water supply terminal for marinas developped by PRODIMAR with a new generation technology in the sector. Its futuristic design and its technical aspects make of PRISM-S3 one of the more complete terminals of the market currently.

The system allows each terminal to communicate via radiofrequency (wireless connection) with the central server installed in the nautical club office, with only one Access Point installed in all the marina.

The interface with the user is the most innovative of the market and the system enables the user or the organization of control to chose between a double payment mode (pre payment or post payment). All the money transfer operations are centralized in a high resistance chip that contains also information about the user.

All the components of the system are characterised by its high resistance and watertight protection.

• ISM band radiofrequency or twisted pair communication between the terminals and the central server.
• Light sensor included in the terminal (it adjusts the lighting of the screen and controls the switching on and off of the LEDs according to the environmental lighting conditions).

Components of the system

• Supply terminal connected to the electricity and water mains.
• Encapsulated Chip for identifying the user and indicating the balance (modifiable) available.
• Communication infrastructure: Wireless Access Point or twisted pair cable to transmit each terminal state and information about all the operations they make.
• Management Software: communication with terminals, chips maintenance and invoicing.

Payment system

PRISM-S3 payment system allows a double payment mode for the user and the nautical club: pre payment system and post payment one. In both cases, the terminal (completely independent from the central server) is controlled by a chip that contains the user and balance movements information. This chip must be acquired in the nautical club office. After each supply opperation the terminal can send the information of all the movements to the central server for its control (invoicing, reports, etc.).

• Pre payment: the client pays for the services in advance in the nautical club office. That will offer reliability to the management of the nautical club. When the client, using his chip, makes any supply operation, the balance is transferred to the terminal. The end of each operation can occur when finishes the balance in the chip or by intervention or previous selection by the user of the amount to be charged or supplied.

• Post payment: PRIMS-S3 detects any supply operation made with any user's chip and sends all the information to the central server for its later cashing or invoicing. In the post payment mode the nautical club counts with an anti vandalistic system: it is possible to limit the maximum number of services that a chip can initiate simultaneously. It helps to avoid frauds caused by chips robberies.
