PRODIMAR presents to Portos de Galicia the first installation of PRISM-S3 and the intelligent system for the control of water and electricity supply in the nautical installations of Portonovo - Nov 2011

Last 24th of November 2011, PRODIMAR presented to the president of Portos de Galicia, José Juan Duran, the first installation of the intelligent terminal for the water and electricity supply control for ships in marinas, PRISM-S3. This installation was carried out last April by Portos de Galicia in the pontoons of the Nautical Club of Portonovo, in the Galician town of Sanxenxo.

Several meetings between PRODIMAR and Portos de Galicia were celebrated before in order to show the system and the terminal to the public organization, arguing its benefits and advantages and encouraging for making a first installation that has became a reality in Portonovo.

With this installation of PRISM-S3, the Nautical Club of Portonovo complies with the objective of optimizing, customizing and having a real control over these basic supplies. The previous terminals were retired and the installation of PRIMS-S3 was very easy and clean, using the same electrical conductors and water pipes and avoiding new data cable installation as the communications between the terminals and the server is made through a radiofrequency band. The Nautical Club distributed 70 prepayment chips for the users in the first phase.

Portonovo Nautical Club, inside the net of marinas and harbors controlled by Portos de Galicia, has been pioneer in the installation of an intelligent system allowing the control of all the supplies consumed by the users. It makes possible to save energy and to control the expenses, objectives included in the management model defended by the public organization.

After the installation, Portonovo has the most innovative supplying system of Galicia, according to a marina more and more worried about environmental aspects and electrical consumption saving matters.
