In the 50th edition of the Barcelona International Boat Show, PRODIMAR presents its intelligent supplying system for boats in marinas based in the terminal PRISM-S3 – Nov 2011

The Barcelona International Boat Show is the most important in Spain and one of the first in Europe too and this year it celebrated a special edition due to its 50th anniversary. The fair started the last 5th of November in the Barcelona Fira building with 324 national and international exhibitors, being PRODIMAR one of them.

Nautical sector has been witness of a decrease in the sales in the last years due to the international crisis, above all from 2009 on. In this scenery, the Barcelona Boat Show becomes the main strength for the sector and the sales in Spain. The main companies of the sector, despite the economic recession, has beat for technological innovation and the development of safest, more sustainable and environmental products in the last years. These tendencies will lead the future.

In this context and in a sector that is more and more worried about functionality, innovation and the environment, PRODIMAR has seen the opportunity to launch to the market its innovative and newly water and electricity supplying system for marinas based in the self-manufactured PRISM-S3 terminal.

The boat show, with the visit of around 110.000 people, 200 activities and 324 exhibitors has been the best scenery to show the recently manufactured (beginning of 2011) PRISM-S3 terminal. Despite the recent design of PRIMS-S3, the port of Portonovo, in the Spanish region of Vigo, already counts with our system 100% operative.

The system based in PRISM-S3 allows the control of water and electricity supply in a marina, with communications between each terminal and the nautical club office, an easy interface with the user and the possibility of combining pre-payment and post-payment systems in the same terminal. Everything with the safest and protected terminal in the market.

Technicians, nautical clubs presidents and other authorities who visited our stand during the 9 days in Barcelona showed their interest in PRISM-S3 design and benefits. It’s clear that the tendencies in the market will lead us to similar terminals and in this sense, PRODIMAR that has always beat for innovation in its developments, is, once more, visionary of the future necessities.
